Care & questions
What does anti-tarnish actually mean?
Our pieces use a sealed plating over a stainless steel base rather than plating over brass or copper. That's what stops the discolouration and the green marks you get from cheaper jewelry. With normal wear the finish holds; with rough handling or harsh chemicals, any plated finish will eventually wear.
Can I shower and swim in it?
Yes — anything in our Waterproof Edit is made for water, sweat and daily wear. Rinse with fresh water after the pool or the sea, since chlorine and salt are harder on any finish than plain water.
How should I care for my jewelry?
Put jewelry on last, after perfume, lotion and hairspray. Wipe pieces with a soft dry cloth after wearing, and store them somewhere dry and separate so they don't scratch each other. Avoid bleach, chlorine-heavy cleaners and abrasive polishes.
Gold or silver — what's the difference?
Both finishes sit on the same stainless steel base and are treated the same way, so it's purely a styling choice. Most of our pieces come in both, and they're designed to be stacked and layered together.
